UPA style animation

Meanwhile, Genndy Tartakovsky cites UPA as a core influence on Dexter’s Lab — and on all of his work since then, from Samurai Jack onward. “I don’t think a week goes by that I don’t reference one of their films,” Tartakovksy told the Los Angeles Times in 2012.

Doom (1993 video game)

Doom is a first-person shooter game developed and published by id Software. Released on December 10, 1993, for DOS, it is the first installment in the Doom franchise. The player assumes the role of a space marine, later unofficially referred to as Doomguy, fighting through hordes of undead humans and invading demons. The game begins on the moons of Mars and finishes in hell, with the player traversing each level to find its exit or defeat its final boss. It is an early example of 3D graphics in video games, and has enemies and objects as 2D images, a technique sometimes referred to as 2.5D graphics.

TWA poster | artist

David Klein TWA Las Vegas Advertising Poster (TWA, 1960s). Poster (25" X 40"). Miscellaneous.
American illustrator David Klein designed some of the most successful travel posters of the postwar era. A huge success on Madison Avenue in the 1950s, Klein won numerous awards for his work on the TWA campaign. His ultra cool Las Vegas poster for TWA personifies the Rat Pack era. An unrestored poster that may be slightly brittle due to age, show some paper loss or staining, and/or some very slight fading to colors. It is most likely in need of some degree of work or restoration. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Rolled, Very Good+.

DK created some of the most successful travel posters of the 50-60's.   His brightly colorful (now retro) poster style is characterised by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and stylized illustrations.

Hamm's Beer Bear Log Rolling

If you were a child in Minnesota during the 1950s and 1960s, one of your early memories may be watching a black-and-white cartoon bear in the Hamm’s Beer television commercials. The Hamm’s bear became one of several iconic characters linked to well-known Minnesota products and legends. The popular and award-winning Hamm’s commercials, part of the Land of Sky Blue Waters advertising campaign, featured the clumsy and appealing bear, a catchy jingle, and a drumbeat.
